Feed My Starving Children

In our world today, an estimated  6,200 children die each day of starvation, though there is enough food in the world for everyone to have adequate nutrition.  At Cragmor Church Friday, October 12th, Saturday, October 13th, and Sunday, October 14th, our church has the opportunity to share our blessings with others. Through a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePackTM, we will produce 200,000 meals with other Colorado Springs churches  for God’s children around the world.  FMSC is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief organization working with volunteers to produce MannaPackTM Rice, a scientifically formulated food formula that is culturally acceptable worldwide.

Our 10th Anniversary event will be a little different this year as we can only fit 4 packing stations into the room so each session will have smaller (80 volunteers) feel to it, but we will still pack over 200,000 meals. This mobilepack will be more of a semi-private event and registration may not be open to the public as past events.

We invite you to join us in producing these meals again this year.  Adults and children (ages 5+) will measure and scoop ingredients, seal bags, and prepare boxes for shipping. We hope you will help us meet our goal by writing a check for $50 to cover the cost of the food you will pack.  If you wish to donate $80, you will provide 1 meal/day for 1 child for 1 year.  Checks should be payable to Faith Presbyterian church with FMSC in the memo line. Kari, our wonderful bookkeeper, will send one check to FMSC after making sure your FPC donation sheet is up to date.  If you wish to make a donation but cannot pack, you can sponsor a youth so they can pack.

Dale Sprowls and Deb Yagmin will take your registration and checks beginning  September 30th when final session times are set.  Stay tuned! If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact either of them.
