For Discussion or Reflection

Last week, the congregation met on Wednesday evening to participate in the New Beginnings assessment. Attendance was down due to the weather, so here are the questions that were asked:

1. When did you feel most engaged, alive, or motivated at Faith Church?

2. What is the greatest contribution being involved at Faith has made to your spiritual life?

3. When were you most proud of Faith Church?

4. What is the single most important life-giving characteristic of Faith Church; when are we at our best?

5. What gifts do you (individually) share with the congregation?

6. Which gifts aren’t you sharing with the church because there is no opportunity?

7. What motivates your worship attendance?

8. Force-choice questions: our church is

·         Rigid/flexible

·         Status quo/mission-oriented

·         Fearful/courageous

·         Thriving/getting by

9. What weekly relational opportunities are there, beyond Sunday morning, for prayer, study, or fellowship?

10. How does Faith Church prepare teachers, elders, and other leaders?

11. What ministry opportunities are begging for attention in this area (i.e., neighborhood)?

12. If Faith closed, what is the one thing the community would miss most?
